About our data and calculations

We use information that dealers and other public sources publish, including advertised prices and product information. It is collected and processed automatically at intervals, so what you see here may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or simply wrong.

We calculate premiums and other figures from that published information. Those calculations reflect what was available to us at the time, and they may not match the price or terms you are actually offered.

Dealer prices change often. A dealer may quote differently depending on order size, payment method or customer status, and further costs can apply, such as shipping, insurance, taxes or payment surcharges.

The dealer's own website is the best source for its current price, availability and terms of sale. Always confirm directly with the dealer before you buy.

About product information

Product names, descriptions, brands, designs, weights, purities and categories on AboveSpot are worked out automatically from what dealers and other sources publish. We group similar listings together so they can be compared, and that process can go wrong.

A product may be put in the wrong category, grouped with items that are not identical, or shown without a distinction that matters to you, such as mint year, finish, packaging or edition.

We never physically inspect, handle, weigh, test or authenticate any product, and we never take possession of one. We make no statement about whether any item is genuine or whether it matches what the dealer says it is.

Some product details are checked automatically against the specification the dealer publishes on its own product page, and disagreements are flagged for a human to look at. It is a check of the dealer's published information against our reading of it. It is not a check of the item itself, and it does not verify that the item exists, is genuine or is as described.

If a specification matters to your decision, open the dealer's original listing and confirm it with the dealer.

Publicly available information and third-party content

AboveSpot presents and transforms information that is publicly available from third parties.

We do not claim ownership of the underlying facts in a dealer's listing, such as an advertised price, a weight or a stated purity.

Our own software, presentation, written methodology, calculations and original content are our own work. What you may and may not do with them is set out in our Terms.

We do not reproduce dealers' websites. We identify the source and link to the dealer's own page so you can check the information there.

Product names, logos and trademarks remain the property of their owners. We use them only to identify and compare products.

Independence

AboveSpot is independent of the dealers, mints and refineries whose products and prices appear here. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them unless we say so on the page.

We do not rank dealers against each other and we do not publish a league table. The site sorts and filters listings using the information we collect, such as price, premium, weight and dealer, and you choose what matters to you. What you see is the output of the data and the methodology we describe, not an endorsement or a recommendation.

We receive no commission or other payment from dealers for clicks, purchases, placement or ranking. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly on the page, and it will not affect how products are ordered or which dealers are included.

Links to dealers

We link to dealer websites so you can see the original listing and get current information from the dealer directly.

We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, prices, availability, products, policies, security or transactions. Anything you buy there is a transaction between you and that dealer.

No guarantee of availability

A product appearing on AboveSpot does not mean it is in stock or available to buy. Prices and availability can change between the moment we collect the information and the moment you visit the dealer.

Nothing here is an offer to sell, a guarantee that a product is available, or a guarantee that an advertised price will be honoured.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law, where that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent the law allows, Talaro Pty Ltd and its operators are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from your use of, or reliance on, AboveSpot, its data, its calculations, its analytics or its links to other websites. That includes loss arising from information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, from changes in prices or availability, from errors in our calculations or categorisation, from interruptions to the site, or from transactions you enter into with a third party.

Where our liability can be limited rather than excluded, it is limited to resupplying the information or the reasonable cost of having it resupplied.
