500g silver bar prices
A 500g silver bar contains 500 grams of fine silver, about 16.08 troy ounces. Larger bars usually carry a lower premium than a 1oz bar, because the cost of making and handling one is spread over more silver.
The silver in a 500g silver bar is worth $1,316.21 at today's spot price.
Pick the dealers you would buy from and the list drops anything they do not sell. A state picks every dealer with an address there, which you can then adjust. Prices and dealer counts still cover every dealer we track, so a row can name more dealers than you picked.

Over the last 90 days, the median premium for a 500g silver bar ranged from 11.0% to 13.9%. On 22 October it was 11.7%.
To find the median premium, we take each dealer's middle premium and then the middle of those, so every dealer counts once. The chart counts only the listings we have priced on most weekdays in this period, so a product joining or leaving does not move the line. Each day uses the last price of that day, Sydney time. Lowest is the smallest premium any of them listed that day, and spot is the silver price in AUD on the left-hand scale.
What is the premium?
The premium is the amount a product's price sits above the spot value of its metal. It covers costs such as production and distribution, as well as the dealer's margin. We calculate it by comparing the published price with the spot price recorded when the price was collected.
